Sports Facilities in Wigginton

The village has excellent sports facilities mostly based at The Wigginton Sports and Playing Fields based on Mill Lane. The facilities are managed by the Wigginton Sports and Playing Fields Association together with individual clubs.

A friendly locally based club which plays lawn bowls from April to September, for ladies, gents and mixed teams. Welcome beginners and seasoned bowlers alike.
No joining fee and a month’s free trial membership is on offer. Green opens every day from late April to late September for competitive and social bowling. The club has dedicated organised social bowling, bowls drives, club competitions and league matches taking place throughout the year. Welcomes visiting touring parties to the club. A friendly 3 court Squash & Racketball Club, with bar, lounge and function facilities. It is an ideal environment to enjoy sport or social time . The bar is open every night where you can enjoy a members priced bar in a relaxed environment and additional times at weekends, especially for Sky Sports matches shown on two large screens.

Wing Chun Kung Fu

A Chinese Martial Art which is said to originate from a Shaolin Nun some 400 years ago. It is a fast, efficient and devastatingly effective form of self defence, and thanks to Bruce Lee who studied Wing Chun in Hong King before movie stardom, it has become the most popular and widely taught form of Kung Fu throughout the world today.
